Time-Line (Chronology)

Bharatiya Jana Sangh 1951 - 1977

Janata Party 1977 - 1979

Bharatiya Janata Party 1980

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was founded in the year 1980 .
Which later on become the 2nd largest political parties of India as congress party of India is number one . With right policies if used by BJP it can become number one party of India
The BJP, in alliance with several other parties, was in power from 1998 to 2004, with Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the Prime Minister.

The BJP and the NDA suffered a shock defeat in the general elections in 2004, and failed to muster a parliamentary majority. A.B. Vajpayee passed on the prime minister ship to Dr. Man Mohan Singh of the Congress Party, and it’s United Progressive Alliance.
In 2009 general elections, BJP again faced defeat and its strength in Lok Sabha reduced to 116 seats. The unexpected defeat of BJP is attributed to bad performance of party in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh.

In the era of coaliation governments I am not writing on the constitution and beliefs of BJP party .

In today’s India next minimum 50 years I see that no party can win alone the majority seats  to form single party government in the parliament.

Controversies and criticism on BJP :

Destruction of the Mosque and Monument called Babri Masjid.

In 2002, communal riots happened in Gujarat under BJP rule.

India shining" advertisements:
The BJP government spent approximately Rs. 500 crores for the advertisements campaign during 2004 Parliament elections. This was the tax payers’ money .
This also became one of the reasons for the BJP defeat in the elections of 2004

After defeat in the 2009 elections ,BJP is now in the shock .
We just hope that there is no brake up in the BJP party .
For good democracy every country needs 2 main strong political parties if BJP brakes up it will result into gross loss for India .
This election has again proved that BJP failed to reach to  masses .
The time has come for BJP to change .
Change for progress .
Can I say that yes BJP can change
Are you doubtful ?
